Let’s face it in business today we all need to relax and have a good time and the team at Leopard Systems are no different! That’s why Leopard Systems like to show their appreciation towards their clients by taking them away from the daily grind and rewarding their support.
In 2007, the team hosted a series of events in and around Melbourne including the Grand Prix, the AFL Grand Final and the first ever, Leopard Systems Party in the Park. The Leopard Systems Party in the Park was an ambitious event to host given Melbourne’s famous unruly weather. The original idea was to hold a footie kicking competition and the event grew from there.
“Rather than hold the traditional-style of client Christmas party, we decided to open up our hospitality and invite our clients, their team members and their respective families and friends” said Robin Fowler, Managing Director of Leopard Systems.
“We are a young, dynamic company and many of our clients have young families like us, so we provided the perfect excuse to get together and celebrate a great year with all those who helped make it happen” says Robin.
Throughout the day over 90 guests enjoyed a delicious BBQ, face painting, balloon artistry, egg and spoon races for the kids (and big kids too!), golf and other fun stuff. The events’ major draw card was the footie kicking comp’ whereby two 42” Plasma TV’s valued at $2000 each were up for grabs for those with the longest kick.
”The winner of the men’s and women’s heat each went home with a 42” plasma kindly donated by Motorola. For the Boy and Girl Under 14’s category each won the latest iPOD Nano. This part of the day was fuelled with fun and friendly rivalry as you’d imagine!” said Alex.
After a traditional Aussie BBQ, a Mr. Whippy van arrived to treat all guests to a refreshing ice-cream. A professional barista was also onsite serving free-flowing coffees, iced-frappes and Krispy Kreme donuts for all attendees.
After speeches and awards were distributed one final surprise occurred… Santa Claus dropped by and gave each of the children goodie bags filled with games and treats.
“The day was a huge success and we were overwhelmed with the feedback from our guests. The Salvation Army also benefited with $300.00 raised as a result of the gold coin donation”.
“We enjoy hosting events to bring like-minded people together from various industries to kick-back and have a good time!” comments Robin. “We use these types of events as a way building strong relations with our clients and thank them for their custom”.
We would like to make a special mention to all staff and valued sponsors who helped make the day such a success: Bunnings, Yarra Valley Farms and Motorola.
With plans already in place, the 2008 Leopard Systems Party in the Park we hope will be even bigger with more prizes up for grabs. Stay tuned for the date to be announced later in the year.
